The Kenosha County Sheriff's Office will now have the ability to hire deputies as young as 19 years of age. The County Board voted 17-5 to lower the minimum hiring age requirement from 21 to 19, and lowered the age at which individuals could apply for the job to 18½ years old. The revisions also lowered the minimum number of college credits from 60 to 40 for non-sworn law enforcement job-seekers.
