Tuttle was born in Indianapolis and his father, Jay, was a walk-on kicker for the Hoosiers from 1986-89. His mom went to Indiana State.

Big news out of Indiana football. Hoosiers picking up former 4-star quarterback Jack Tuttle, who is transferring to IU from Utah. He was ranked No. 5 pro-style quarterback by rivals in 2017. Had offers from Alabama, USC and LSU out of high school. Big pickup for Tom Allen.

Would he play on this Indiana team? Maybe. But looking back his decision to transfer may have been the best for him.
