CONWAY — Tricia Costigan, the new president of MaineHealth Memorial Hospital, brings a wealth of experience in health care and a vision focused on patient care. Not only that, she’s a mom, a Mainer and a military veteran who loves the outdoors. Costigan, who most recently worked as president of Northern Light Inland Hospital in Waterville, Maine, moved to the valley with her husband, Tony Costigan, in mid-March, and said she feels at home here.

CONWAY — A new federal program to help families of people with dementia get access to the help they need now has a home in the valley. The Mount Washington Valley Adult Day Center will be providing the GUIDE Program in Carroll and Coos Counties. Re-enactors bring past to life at Muster in the Mountains

GORHAM — Dozens of canvas tents could be seen scattered across the open field at the base of the Mt. Washington Auto Road the weekend of Sept. 6-8 as colonial era historical re-enactors converged there for the Muster in the Mountains. The encampment, in its 46th year, has been an annual event since the 1970s. It started at the Auto Road, which donates use of the grounds, and has been held at other locations in the White Mountains, including Randolph and Jefferson over the years.
