Northwestern cross country is smashing records. The ’Cats placed seventh at B1G Championships on Nov. 1, with five runners boasting personal records. The pack was led by Weinberg fourth-year Ava Earl, who beat her previous best by a whopping 32 seconds. Earl placed 14th with a time of 19:42.2 — just 29 seconds shy of the B1G record set by Oregon’s Silan Ayyildiz in the same race. NCAA women’s cross country is approaching Week 6 of the season.

So far, this season has been a learning opportunity for the team, but frustrating for fans who have witnessed this season’s outcomes.

Northwestern Women’s Basketball (7-14, 2-8 B1G) is in a rebuilding era. For the second season in a row, the ’Cats sit near the bottom of the B1G rankings. With 21 losses and only nine wins, the 2022-23 season was the ’Cats’ worst record in the last fifteen years, and this year is not shaping up to be much better.
