New England has seen a lot of wet weekend weather this year. For the 13th weekend in a row, we'll see rain Saturday. It's certainly not what we want during spring and summer. Stream NBC10 Boston news for free, 24/7, wherever you are. The longest streak of wet Saturdays on record in Boston is 12, which also happened in 1943 and 1970. This weekend breaks that record. People were out and about Friday, enjoying all the city has to offer, since Saturday's weather will be uncooperative.

Friday morning was a great morning for grabbing coffee outdoors with calm winds and mild temperatures. It was a bit cloudier to start, but the we’re expecting sunshine this afternoon. That won’t help temperatures climb to the upper 80s of Thursday, though. We’re heading to a day in the mid 70s. Stream NBC10 Boston news for free, 24/7, wherever you are. Clouds fill back in Friday night around 8, and this will usher in rain.

Clouds will linger Tuesday afternoon, but most of the showers are done. Light and lingering rain can’t be ruled out west of I-495, but much of the metro area is quiet after 8 p.m., with overcast skies. A warm mid-week stretch sets in for Wednesday and Thursday, with highs in the low to mid 80s both days. An August-like airmass will be overhead, with dry skies, making for great beach weather. As west winds pick up steam in the coming day to day and a half, our temperatures will begin to warm into the 80s and near 90 degrees by Thursday. Tuesday’s warm weather is region-wide into Burlington, Vermont, and western Massachusetts. Expect highs in the mid-70s there and through MetroWest. Downtown Boston and coastal areas through the North Shore will likely only hit the low 70s due to an east wind that sets up. This will still be a seasonable and sunny day.

Every weekend since March 1 has been wet in Boston. EVERY weekend. I’m not sure how we got on the bad side of Mother Nature, but we’re crying uncle! It’s only fitting that the final weekend of spring has wet weather too... right? Preceding the wet Saturday will be enjoyable hours throughout Friday. In fact, like Wednesday's, Friday’s warmth will have a summer-like taste to it. The day starts sunny and in the 50s. With a southwest wind, afternoon highs are near 75 degrees throughout the metro area.
