Cigar Aficionado Magazine
Cigar Aficionado is an American magazine focused on cigars. Since its debut in September 1992, the publication has featured articles about various cigar brands from around the globe, as well as profiles of famous personalities on its covers. The magazine is recognized for its stance against the Cuban embargo. It was founded by Marvin R. Shanken through M. Shanken Communications, which has also published Wine Spectator since 1976. The current editor is Gordon Mott.

The newest release from Crowned Heads in Tennessee is not only a play on words, but a medium-to-full-bodied cigar on its way to retailers now. Broadway is named after Nashville’s famed downtown entertainment district and also references the dark Connecticut broadleaf wrapper that covers the cigars. Made in Nicaragua at Nicaraguan American Cigars S.A. (NACSA) in Estelí, Broadway is all Nicaraguan, except the wrapper.

This week the 2025 edition of Spectre began shipping, and it is pricier than ever. Unlike most cigars, Cohiba Spectre is not made with a set blend, so each edition incorporates different tobaccos. The 2025 edition features a Connecticut Habano wrapper General says was grown in 2017 and aged for seven years.
