STONEWALL, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Luke Delafield pitched a complete game shutout as North Desoto forced a game three in the Division II (Non-Select) state semifinals with a 3-0 victory over Lutcher on Friday night. Delafield, who deemed himself Davy Crockett on the Friday Night Blitz during football season, was hunting Bulldogs batters all night. He kept Lutcher hitters off balance and pitched to contact, relying on a stout defense. He finished with four strikeouts.

STONEWALL, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — North Desoto fell behind and didn’t have enough hitting to get back in the game in a 7-4 loss to Lutcher in game one of the Division II (Non-Select) state semifinals Thursday night. Trailing 4-1 in the bottom of the 3rd inning, Cole Cory drove in Brayden Toothman with a well placed bunt, forcing the pitcher to make an errant throw down the first baseline. Later in the inning, the Griffins continued to pressure the Lutcher defense.

The Bulldogs and Aggies finished with seven hits apiece, but LA Tech’s timely hitting in the seventh proved to be the difference.
