The voting media gave the son of Into Mischief 299 points, a total that matches the season-best total achieved by , who was favored to win the Derby.     Kentucky Derby (G1) weekend has come and gone, and for as much as things changed-and boy, did they-that change brought a sense of familiarity to North America's General Sires List. Thanks in large part to the high-caliber, high-purse racing at Churchill Downs last weekend, 21 of the top 25 spots are now occupied by a different sire than they were two weeks ago.

    Reigning Horse of the Year Thorpedo Anna , winner of the 2024 Kentucky Oaks (G1), received a clean bill of health from Dr. Larry Bramlage at the Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital May 5 after an uncharacteristic last-place finish in the La Troienne Stakes (G1) May 2 at Churchill Downs. That finish is what prompted trainer Kenny McPeek to send the 4-year-old filly to Dr. Bramlage. McPeek told Thoroughbred Daily News that Bramlage did not find anything wrong with the reigning Horse of the Year.
