MEMPHIS, Tenn. —  After an early morning round of storms, there will be a window of a few hours for the atmosphere to destabilize once more – setting us up for another elevated risk for severe weather in the afternoon (roughly now-8pm). Not everyone will see storms, but for those that do, large hail, damaging winds, and a tornado or two will be possible. A TORNADO WATCH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM. STAY CONNECTED – We encourage you to always have multiple ways to receive weather information.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — While rain and thunder started Tuesday morning, expect a brief break from the rain as the threat for severe weather ramps up for this afternoon. An “Enhanced Risk” for strong storms covers the entire Mid-South. High winds and large hail are our primary concerns, however, isolated tornadoes cannot be ruled out. Download the WREG Weather App and watch News Channel 3 at Noon for the very latest. You will likely need to modify any outdoor plans today to avoid the severe weather threat.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — As clean-up continues across Hernando and DeSoto County, Mississippi, the Mid-South is getting ready for another round of potentially severe weather. Severe Storms Prediction Center has West Tennessee and North Mississippi in an “Enhanced Risk” for severe weather, for Tuesday afternoon. High winds, storms with hail, and a few tornadoes should be expected as our latest cold front roars across the region.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Snow began to fall on the ground late Tuesday evening with higher amounts north of Memphis and smaller amounts to the south. Most of the Memphis metro area saw 1-3 inches of snow. The snow was tapering off by early Wednesday morning with the Winter Storm Warning and Winter Weather advisory being cancelled. But bitterly cold temperatures moved in. Use caution on the roadways, especially going on bridges and overpasses.
