Organizers of the 2025 Calgary Comics and Entertainment Expo have been promising more of everything this year thanks to the newly expanded BMO Centre, and they've delivered. At the heart of it, there's the usual comic book artists, vendors, anime and cosplayers but there are a lot more celebrities on hand as well for panels, photo ops and autographs.

The Kingbees were formed in the late 1970s by Toronto native Jamie James and came on the heels of a stint with a re-formed Steppenwolf. The Kingbees music harkens back to a time when rock n' roll was king with artists such as Buddy Holly and Eddie Cochran. The trio was part of a surge in a musical style at the time that would later be known as 'rockabilly' with bands like The Stray Cats and The Blasters. The Kingbees only released two albums before disbanding in 1982.
