INDIANAPOLIS — Penn State gave up a touchdown to Oregon on the first drive of the game but struggled to catch up to the Ducks all night. Despite an explosive offensive performance, the Nittany Lions trailed the rest of the way and lost the Big Ten Championship at Lucas Oil Stadium 45-37. Junior running backs Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen rushed for over 100 yards as PSU racked up 292 yards on the ground.

INDIANAPOLIS — Penn State fans have never been happier to see Michigan win. Last week's Wolverines victory over Ohio State gave the Nittany Lions a berth in the Big Ten Championship and PSU fans pounced on the chance to go to Indianapolis and support their team. "We left Lancaster at one o’clock this morning, got here around 10:30, long ride but we’re here, ready to have some fun, ready to watch Penn State win and go from there,” said Chris Tankalavage.

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — At the beginning of the day, Penn State needed two things to happen in order to earn a berth in the Big Ten Championship Game next weekend in Indianapolis against Oregon. The first was unlikely, a Michigan upset of Ohio State in Columbus. The Wolverines shocked the Buckeyes 13-10 in a game that ended just before the Nittany Lions kickoff against Maryland. A victory over the Terrapins was the second thing that had to happen.

MINNEAPOLIS — Holding the smallest lead possible, and facing the possibility of giving up possession of the ball late in the fourth quarter, Penn State Head Coach James Franklin called for a fake punt on 4th and 2. Sophomore lineman Dom Rulli is the one on the field that makes the final determination whether the fake will work depending on their opponent's formation. Rulli decided to keep the fake on and Freshman Luke Reynolds took the ball 32 yards for a fresh set of downs.

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — The game was close, very close. The result is familiar, very familiar. Penn State lost to Ohio State 20-13 on Saturday afternoon in front of 111,030 fans, the largest crowd in Beaver Stadium history. By the end of the 60-minute top-5 bout, the first in 25 years at the stadium, just about all of the PSU fans were tired of watching the Nittany Lions find ways to lose their Big Ten rivals.
