CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Police in Franklin County are investigating the theft of a catalytic converter from a vehicle. According to Chambersburg Police, a victim contacted authorities at 5:47 p.m. on April 1 to report the theft, which occurred at an auto dealership on the 1100 block of Sheller Avenue. According to Vox.com, thieves typically target catalytic converters because they are rich in valuable metals like platinum, palladium and rhodium that can easily be recycled.
Carlisle man accused of filming himself sexually assaulting 3-year-old victim

CARLISLE, Pa. — A Cumberland County man has been charged with 24 offenses related to the sexual abuse of children after police say he recorded himself molesting a 3-year-old girl while she slept. Corey Wagner, 26, of Carlisle, also allegedly offered to let another person with whom he was exchanging online messages sexually assault the victim and three other children he was caring for, Middlesex Township Police claim in charging documents.

GORDONVILLE, Pa. — State Police are investigating the theft of five puppies from an Amish farm in Lancaster County. It occurred sometime between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. Tuesday on the 3500 block of Scenic Road in Leacock Township, authorities said. The victim reported that an unknown suspect entered a barn and shop on his property and stole five Labradoodle puppies and a black box home phone, according to police. The puppies were about nine weeks old, the victim reported.

The 1-year-old, yellow and white Labrador Retriever passed his training and certification tests and will join the police department's Explosives Detection Unit, along with his human partner, Cpl. Timothy Horst. K9 Leo was born in Seattle and trained at Iron Rose K9 Inc., a facility located in Boiling Springs, Cumberland County.

She was wearing glasses, a black t-shirt, red pants, and black and white shoes, according to police. Vicente has black hair, brown eyes, and stands about 5 feet, 4 inches tall.
