    Maido has been named the best restaurant in the world at the unveiling of The World’s 50 Restaurants list sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna in Turin, Italy. The restaurant, located in Lima, Peru and headed up by chef Mitsuharu ‘Micha’ Tsumura, is a proponent of Nikkei cuisine, the fusion of Japanese and Peruvian flavors and recently celebrated its 15th birthday. It’s previously topped the Latin America’s 50 Restaurants list four times.

    Gaggan Anand and his team are celebrating a return to the top of the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list after the chef’s eponymous Bangkok restaurant, Gaggan, topped Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025 sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna at a ceremony in Seoul. Having gone on a four-year winning streak from 2015-18 with the original Gaggan, this was the first time the Indian chef was back at the top of the podium with his new restaurant in Sukhumvit.
