Gaggan Anand and his team are celebrating a return to the top of the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list after the chef’s eponymous Bangkok restaurant, Gaggan, topped Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025 sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna at a ceremony in Seoul. Having gone on a four-year winning streak from 2015-18 with the original Gaggan, this was the first time the Indian chef was back at the top of the podium with his new restaurant in Sukhumvit.

The unpretentious and much loved Dubai restaurant has topped MENA’s 50 Best Restaurants for the third consecutive year This year’s Middle East and North Africa’s 50 Best Restaurants, sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna, have been unveiled at a ceremony in Abu Dhabi, with Orfali Bros Bistro topping the list for the third consecutive year. The Dubai restaurant, run by three brothers from Aleppo, serves a playful and inventive cuisine drawing on Syrian and global influences.

Lorna McNee is an award-winning Scottish chef crafting refined dishes in a relaxed setting at Cail Bruich in Glasgow. Having worked for many years with the late chef Andrew Fairlie she quickly won Cail Bruich a Michelin star after becoming its Head Chef in 2020 and is a Champion of Champions on the BBC’s Great British Menu. The chefLorna McNee was born in Dallas, Scotland and went on to study Professional Cookery at Moray Collage.

M Manhattan is to get a new Momofuku restaurant headed by Paul Carmichael (pictured), the company’s Australia-based chef, who returns to New York City in June. The new restaurant will occupy the vacant site of David Chang's Momofuku Ko in the East Village. Carmichael is due to take over the New York Momofuku restaurant initially but will later work in culinary development across the Momofuku group. The restaurant site has operated as a test kitchen since Chang closed Momofuku Ko in November 2023.
