No denomination has it all. No Christian movement has an exclusive corner on the truth. No single group can claim to be “it” — to the exclusion of everyone else who has been born into God’s family through faith in Jesus. All of us together make up the Body of Christ, and only together are we complete (cf. Romans 12:3-8; 1 Corinthians 12:12-31; John 10:14-16; 17:20-23). Any view to the contrary smacks of sectarianism and pride.

There is no shortage of films predicting the dangers of rogue artificial intelligence — Terminator; The Matrix; I, Robot; Avengers: Age of Ultron, to name a few. Perhaps these dystopian science fictions will one day become fact, but for now, at least, AI is not poised to take over the world. A recent, hilarious example is when X’s “Grok” AI tried to summarize Klay Thompson’s poor shooting night in the NBA playoff “play-in” game.

Last week, I posted an article titled “The Programming of AI and the Indoctrination of Our Children,” highlighting the ridiculously obvious, radical leftist biases in both the Google search engine and Google’s new AI bot named Gemini. Since then, we have learned just how extremist Google’s Gemini really is, not to mention how long Google apparently says it will take to fix things. This leads to the question: has Google created an AI Frankenstein?

The cancel culture is a recent movement set on destroying a person’s character and their calling in life. It involves the mass withdrawal of support through public disapproval or shaming to exert social pressure and remove (“cancel”) an individual’s influence and significance. Granted, we reap what we sow and God often reveals sin so that deep repentance can take place.

Artificial intelligence promises to overtake the world bringing perfect utopia. People will have computers do the laborious work while we sit by the pool sipping lattes. That is the vision proposed by the creators of Large Language Model (LLM) AI systems like ChatGPT. But when we actually see what AI is able to achieve, it is often more terrifying than utopian. For sure, we have seen book-writing farms that overwhelm Amazon’s book submission capacity.
