His office is at 7801 Hasbrook Avenue (at Hartel Avenue), and he thanked his staff for their work. A sign was finally installed outside the office the day after the town hall. In Harrisburg, Dougherty is deputy director of the newly former Law Enforcement Caucus.

    City Controller Christy Brady spoke at last week’s East Torresdale Civic Association meeting. Brady, a 30-year veteran of the office, was elected in a 2023 special election to replace Rebecca Rhynhart, who resigned to run for mayor. She is seeking a full four-year term this year. Brady, a Fox Chase resident, talked about receiving a tip from a man that some property owners were illegally claiming the city’s Homestead Exemption, which is intended for a homeowner’s primary residence.

Picozzi, who turns 30 on April 22, chairs the Senate Urban Affairs and Housing Committee and is a member of the Appropriations Committee. Picozzi spoke of Senate Bill 184, a measure he sponsored that became law. It would enable international team doctors to treat their players in Pennsylvania when Philadelphia hosts the FIFA Club World Cup this summer and the FIFA World Cup in 2026.
