    GREAT FALLS — Great Falls High sprinter Abby MacDonald signed with Eastern Washington track and field on Wednesday afternoon in front of friends, family, coaches and teammates. MacDonald is a talented sprinter who won the 2024 Eastern AA divisional title in 200 meter dash. She plans to run the 400 for the Eagles. A torn ACL ended her sophomore season, and a torn meniscus has sidelined her as a senior.

    GREAT FALLS — Great Falls High boys basketball coach Bob Howard submitted his resignation and is retiring after 22 years leading the Bison, according to a media release from Great Falls Public School activities director Mike Henneberg. During his tenure, Howard's teams finished in the top four at the Class AA state tournament on five different occasions, highlighted by a state championship in 2006.

The former CMR wrestler defended his Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship featherweight title at BKFC 72 in Dubai with a unanimous decision over South African challenger Tommy Strydom (4-1) on Saturday. All three judges scored the bout 50-43 in favor of the champ.
