The Bozeman Daily Chronicle is a daily newspaper based in Bozeman, Montana. It started out as a weekly publication when it was established in 1883. In 1996, the Chronicle transitioned to a daily morning format, and it released its first Saturday edition in 1997. In April 1996, the paper was redesigned as a morning publication. The newspaper is currently owned by Pioneer News Group, which is located in Seattle.

    A 48-year-old Bozeman man died Sunday evening in a suspected drowning at an apartment complex, the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release Wednesday. The body of Justin Huggins was discovered in an apartment complex hot tub at 3001 S. 21st Ave., the release said. The Gallatin County Coroner’s Office and Bozeman Police Department investigated. Intoxication is suspected to have contributed to Huggins’ death, the Sheriff’s Office said.

    MISSOULA — Missoula police officers issued dozens of citations for illegal camping on city property over the last five months, but just one person has been formally convicted under the law as local officials still get a grasp on the new regulations. The Missoula Police Department has written 44 citations for violating the city law from Jan. 1 to May 21, according to City Attorney Keithi Worthington.
