    CORONA, CA — A brush fire burning Tuesday afternoon off Interstate 15 near Cajalco Road is causing traffic delays. The blaze was reported around 2:30 p.m. off the northbound side of the freeway, just south of Cajalco Road, according to preliminary information from the California Highway Patrol. The Corona Fire Department reports the blaze is active. Traffic is backed up to Temescal Canyon Road on the northbound side, and the CHP reports the #3 lane is blocked.

    CALIFORNIA — A Washington state man has died in custody after being charged with providing material support to terrorists in connection with the May 17 suicide bombing at a Palm Springs fertility clinic. Daniel Jongyon Park, 32, of Kent, Washington, was found unresponsive around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Metropolitan Detention Center in downtown Los Angeles and later died at a hospital, according to a Tuesday statement from the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

    RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — A $10 billion 2025-26 fiscal year budget was approved Tuesday for Riverside County, and it includes a hiring freeze across many county departments amid state and federal financial uncertainties. Approved by the Riverside County Board of Supervisors, budget highlights include $2.8 billion for health services, $2.3 billion for public safety, $2 billion for human services and $1.2 billion for public works. The fiscal year begins July 1.
