At the stadium itself, gate number five was named after him in 2013, following the football legend's death in 2012. The Argentinian played for Malaga from 1969 to 1974 and his name lives on in the memories of some of the team's older fans and in the city itself.

Organised by the town hall, who described Lina as “a very dear resident”, the event will take place in Los Nadales on Saturday 10 May from midday to raise funds so that her children can continue to live together in their family home.
