    COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Big news out of Brookstone School. Tuesday morning, via Facebook Brookstone School Athletics announced Columbus Legend Bobby Howard will be joining the coaching staff of both the Varsity Football and Varsity Baseball teams. Howard returns to Columbus after a short stint in Lynn Haven, Florida, where he was the Head Baseball Coach for Mosley High School.

    COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - It's little league championship season, as several of our local teams are preparing to go off to various world series and state tournaments. That's the case for the Phenix City Little League 14U and 8U West teams as they travel to participate in the USSSA World Series in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Both teams have had major success in recent tournaments and now advance to hopefully come back champs.

    COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - It's that time of year again, former NFL pro and Columbus Legend Isaiah Crowell hosted his annual youth football camp at Shirley B. Winston Park on Saturday morning. This year's camp welcomed over 200 campers, as they learned the fundamentals of the game, from Crowell and many football coaches across the area. For Crowell, he says each year he's tried to grow the camp in a bigger and more positive way.

    COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - It may be June, but the Columbus High Blue Devils are still celebrating a wrestling state championship. The team met Saturday afternoon to receive their state championship rings from this past winter. That's when the Blue Devils won their first-ever traditional wrestling state championship. Four Blue Devils were also recognized for their individual state championships. Overall, it was a great moment for these guys to celebrate their accomplishments.

    COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Over the weekend, several local kids had the opportunity to learn from one of the top college players in the game right now. Hardaway alum and University of Georgia Standout Mykel Williams returned to the Fountain City to host his inaugural Youth Football Camp at Odis Spencer Stadium. This camp ranged from ages 8 through 13 and it was a sold-out camp, where several kids had the opportunity to come out and perfect their crafts.
