If things go according to plan, PA announcers throughout the OHL are going to figure out how to pronounce Jaakko Wycisk's name. The Guelph Storm first round pick, second overall, in this weekend's OHL draft, is expected to be on the scoresheet plenty over the next few years. For the record, it's pronounced YACK-o WHY-zic.

The Guelph Storm chose high-scoring centre Jakko Wycisk with the second overall pick in the OHL draft Friday night. Wycisk, a Tecumseh native, had 32 goals and 29 assists in 30 games this season captaining the Sun County Panthers. He had two goals and six assists in five games at the recent OHL Cup. He stands six-feet, 181 pounds and shoots right. Wycisk wasn't available for interviews Friday night as he has been called up by the Tecumseh Chiefs for their Ontario Junior Hockey League.

There were no tearful speeches, angry outbursts or chants or anger; just hugs of support and a collective sense of "why?" as roughly 55 people gathered outside the Rockwood OPP detachment Sunday evening for a candlelight vigil for Nathaniel Schofield. The 36-year-old Arthur man died on July 10 while in police custody. Now the family and friends who attended Sunday's vigil and many others want to know what happened.
