    Chillicothe's Jayden Beverly and Zane Trace's Hudson Williams were regional champions to lead local athletes into the state track meet this week. The top four athletes in each event qualify from each of the regional meets. In addition, the next top twotimes/heights/distances from around the state will qualify for the state meet, per the Ohio High School Athletic Association. Those potential qualifiers will be announced later.

    CHILLICOTHE — Huntington fell short of a district title after capturing an early lead, only to see it disappear in one crucial inning. Despite a comeback attempt, they saw their season end in a 9-6 loss to Eastern on May 31 at Paints Stadium, as the Division VI district runner-up. Meanwhile, Southeastern, which had its May 30 game pushed to May 31, defeated No. 2 Symmes Valley 13-6 to advance to their district final game.
