I do not know why, but I watched every single second of season 8 of Love Is Blind. I had a lot of thoughts and feelings and felt like this entire cast needs to do some serious reading. So, this month for Require Reading, I’m giving a book recommendation to every single cast member.

Welcome to the latest iteration of the Reading in The Stacks column here at shereads.com. If you’ve been with me since I started writing this column you know we’ve changed it up over the years. First it was all about book pairings. I took three new releases and paired them with back list titles. Then we switched over to a bookish advice column, Advice in The Stacks,  that answered all your nerdy readerly questions.

Hello readers! Yet again, I am sharing five things I simply had to tell you, and would love if you would respond either in the comments or via email with something you simply have to tell me in return ♡ Would you like even more chatty musings on midlife, even more book recommendations, and exclusive downloads and book collections delivered right to your inbox each week?

Here are the best (and worst) books of 2024 according to me. This is always my favorite column to write each year. What can I say? I love a list. This isn’t your regular top ten run of the mill books of the year list though. Instead I frame this list around the questions I ask my guests every week on my podcast, The Stacks. If the author of any of the below books was a guest on The Stacks, I have linked to that episode below for your listening pleasure.

Here is my 2025 books preview. This is very much my preview so expect to see a lot of narrative nonfiction, current issues, essay collections, speculative fiction, and satire. I know there are some very buzzy books that are coming in 2025, that will no doubt be on every other list, they’re not on this one though. I am keeping it real here and only sharing what I am genuinely interested in reading.
