The Santa Barbara group that goes by the name Run For Your Lives is like the Boulder group. They peacefully meet on Sunday afternoons and name the names of the hostages and then they walk with a banner reminding people of what happened.

For the first time in months it is open in both directions to people who don't live in the area directly impacted by the Palisades Fire. Video sped up shows the Malibu portion of the 11 mile stretch burned in the wind-driven fire in January. The fire made the ocean more visible. It used to be blocked by homes destroyed in the fire.

The tastings took place on the campus of California State University, Channel Islands. Casa Pacifica is the university's neighbor in Camairllo. The nonprofit is the largest provider of children's mental health services in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.

The Solvang City Council is considering an ordinance that would ban camping from sunset to sunrise on public property. Gonzales shared his experience of going to war after college at the age of 22 and then being diagnosed with PTSD years later. On the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War organizers including Gonzales invited decorated Colonel Retired, U.S. Air Force, Barry Harper to be on the guest speakers.

Mountain Lion struck and killed in Santa Barbara

Witnesses said they saw a big cat get hit near the Castillo Street off-ramp. The remains of a mountain lion were spotted on the right shoulder of the southbound side of the freeway.
