Ventura County, Calif.- A memorial is growing at the site near Oxnard where a teenager's body was found. Oscar Omar Hernandez's remains were discovered near Mcgrath State Beach Park, two weeks ago. The 13-year-old had taken the Metrolink from his family's home in the San Fernando Valley on March 28 to help out a soccer Coach in Lancaster. That coach, Mario Edgardo Garcia Aquino, 43, has been charged with the teen's murder during the commission of lewd acts on a child.

"Just recently, with the tariffs obviously that can make a different, but that actually worked well for out exchange rate for dollars to the pound," sand Mandy Cooper. One Pound was worth about $1.32 on Wednesday.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif.-The Santa Barbara City Council gave the green light to modular sidewalks on a portion of State Street. A Santa Barbara City Council majority approved their $528,000 purchase on Tuesday. Mayor Randy Rowse voted no, and Eric Friedman is out recovering from a heart attack. They will be installed on both side of the 500 block of State St. It's a block where parklets helped businesses weather COVID financially.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif.-The Grand Princess cruise ship arrived for a short visit in Santa Barbara on Wednesday. It is the first of the cruise season along the coast. The owners of Mountain Air Sports on State Street, near Stearns Wharf, said families, friends, and students on Spring Break have been arriving in waves. Not every break is around Easter Sunday. The holiday falls on April 20, this year.

Local student, parents and educators and members of a group called Youthclusive plan to hold a Rally for the Arts at 5 p.m. outside the Santa Barbara Unified School District office. Many are young musicians who hope to send a message to the Santa Barbara Unified School Board. This isn't the first time they have rallied outside the regular meeting and may not be the last.
