Renck: As Nikola Jokic’s repeated shots clanked off the front rim, it raised the unnerving question: What is wrong with him? The conclusion is simple. The greatest player in the world is knee-deep in a head-throbbing slump. Jokic has shot below 40% over a three-game stretch with at least 15 attempts for the first time in his career, per ESPN. He is missing bunnies and 3-pointers (6 for 28).

OKLAHOMA CITY — Triple-A baseball dangles the carrot, crystallizes dreams years in the making. But when you look out from the dugout at a soggy field and see a dog mascot wearing an astronaut’s helmet and eight fans in their seat at first pitch, the major leagues feel a long way away. Burdens are for shoulders strong enough to carry them. Even if the left one requires a needle full of lidocaine. Maybe if Michael Porter Jr. wasn’t so candid. The NFL releases the schedule on Wednesday, and it will do Denver no favors. Not saying it’s sketchy, but if it were a convenience store, the bathroom key would have a baton attached. SGA gets his SAG card for that one...

#Nuggets trail 56-51 at half. Jokic is having an off night, so Denver lucky to only be down five. Jokic has 8 points on 2 of 9 shooting. Just doesn't look like himself. The Nuggets getting worked on boards, 29-20. Chet Holmgren leads all scorers with 16. MPJ has 15. Gotta win

Good sign

Nuggets go +5 in some non-Jokic, non-Shai minutes.
