Albuquerque is one of the top 30 most affordable cities according to data analysis by The Business Journals. The analysis examined regional affordability data from the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) for the 100 largest metro areas in 2019. Albuquerque ranked at 27 overall out of the 100 cities examined.

    Economic policy will be a key factor in the 2024 presidential race for many influential Birmingham leaders. That’s one takeaway from the latest Birmingham Power Poll — a monthly, unscientific poll of business, government and nonprofit leaders in the metro area. Nearly 27% of respondents said economic growth policies would be the primary factor in their vote. Abortion/reproductive rights and immigration were the only other factors above 10% in the poll.
