LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Chris Curry is a man of many messages and inspirational sayings. Going into last week, he had a new one for his Little Rock baseball team, based on the outside noise. “The Trojans, we’re a 4 seed, 62, 63, 64 in the tournament, depending on who you ask. OKLAHOMA COUNTY, Okla. — For one last time as a Razorback, Bri Ellis has made Arkansas history. On Tuesday night, USA Softball named Ellis the Collegiate Player of the Year, an honor no Razorback player has earned before. It was fitting, as few, if any, softball players have ever had a season quite like Ellis' before. She batted .440 with 26 home runs, 72 RBI, 146 total bases, 69 walks and 68 runs scored while putting up a 1.090 slugging percentage, a .639 on-base percentage and a 1.729 OPS.
