BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Areas across the Brazos Valley are cleaning up following recent storms, and Brazos County is no exception. On Tuesday, heavy rain flooded roads and neighborhoods within the county. Busy roads such as Texas Avenue and University Drive got hit with drivers trying to make their way through the water. On Wednesday, Brazos County Road and Bridge told KBTX that while most places are seeing drier days, there are still some road closures.

AUSTIN, Texas (KBTX) - House Bill 54 has raised some eyebrows among state lawmakers and those they serve, and on Tuesday, residents had the opportunity to weigh in on what they think of the potential law. So, what exactly is HB 54? It’s called the Forbidding Unlawful Representation of Roleplaying in Education Act, also known as “the F.U.R.R.I.E.S Act.” The bill was put together by State Representative Stan Gerdes (R-17).

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX)— The Brazos County Elections Administration Office said the county reduced the number of voting precincts on Tuesday. Elections Administrator Trudy Hancock said that the law requires the commissioner’s court to look at the county’s precincts every odd number of years to ensure they comply with requirements. This includes making sure there is only one justice of the peace, one constable, one house representative and more.
