RALEIGH, N.C. - After an incredible rookie season at the AHL level with the Chicago Wolves, former Maine Black Bear Bradly Nadeau has been recalled to the NHL level to skate with the Carolina Hurricanes in their final contests of the regular season. Nadeau was also named to the AHL All-Rookie team on Wednesday after a 30-goal, 50-point campaign with Chicago. The 19-year old who led Maine in goals and points a year ago also led the Wolves with 30 goals and tied for the team lead with 56 points.

ORONO - Maine baseball won their sixth straight game on Wednesday afternoon, taking down the UMaine-Farmington Beavers (DIII) 17-1 in seven innings. The Black Bears jumped out to a 4-0 lead after loading the bases the first inning. In the second, the Beavers got one back on a Tyler Rosa RBI single, but it was all the offense they would muster. Maine added six more runs in the third, headlined by a Payton Whitehead two-run homer to left.

BANGOR - Husson baseball continued streaking on Tuesday, taking down SUNY Cobleskill in both games of a home double-header, 3-2 and 11-1. The Eagles and Tigers have played in the last two NAC Championship games. Husson and Cobleskill were tied 1-1 in the second inning when Matt Wallingford stranded a man at third by striking out David Flora swinging. In the third, Colin Marshall started a rally with a single to right to lead off the inning, and Akira Warren was hit by a pitch in the next at bat.

ORONO - After picking up a road sweep of the University of Albany, Maine baseball swept the America East weekly awards- winning Player of the Week, Pitcher of the Week, and Rookie of the Week. The sweep was Maine's first of the season. Brody Rasmussen, a junior outfielder, is the player of the week after he hit .545 with a .727 SLG% to go along with seven runs, six hits, and four RBI. After a spectacular start on Sunday, Gianni Gambardella is the pitcher of the week.
