A struggling Atlanta United made the trip back down to Mickey Mouse’s house in Orlando, trying to turn around a skid of the ages. It doesn’t need repeating, but I’ll do it anyway: this is Atlanta’s worst start to a season ever, and today did it no favors. The Five Stripes limped away from Inter & Co. Stadium after another 3-0 loss, with the only silver lining that their next game is at home. Here are the final whistle thoughts from Orlando. I’m just not seeing it.

Just when it seemed Atlanta United would sit by watch MLS’s Primary Transfer Window pass like a leaf on the wind, Lagerwey and Co. pulled a trade mere hours before the deadline. It may not be the splashy signing the fans are clamoring for, but the Five Stripes announced Wednesday evening that they’ve traded winger Xande Silva to St. Louis City for up to $250,000 in GAM. Pump the brakes, it’s not the worst thing in the world! Atlanta United announced on Monday that Latte Lath has been placed in concussion protocol stemming from the 38th minute pay-per-view wrestling event that happened at the Benz on Saturday. After performing extremely well in the 2025 preseason with the first team, second-round SuperDraft pick Ronan Wynne has signed with Atlanta United 2 for the 2025 MLS NEXT PRO season. The 2s also signed former Inter Miami CF II defender Nyk Sessock. Both players have signed with ATL UTD 2 for the 2025 season with a club option for the 2026 season, adding even more experienced and affordable depth to Atlanta United’s right-back position.

It’s too early to tell if Latte Lath will be able to fully recoup the MLS-record $22 million Atlanta United paid to transfer him from Championship side Middlesbrough. But if the Ivory Coast international’s first taste of action on this side of the pond is any indication, he’ll be a runaway success.
