Abbottabad police round up two men for alleged public harassment of woman

Abbottabad police on Thursday night arrested two men and seized their vehicle after a woman posted a complaint of harassment on her Facebook wall, along with a car photo showing the both the suspects seated in it. A large number of women in the country across all age groups and classes continue to face violence and endure sexual, mental, and physical abuse despite improvements in education, according to a 2023 report by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

Shangla police chief survives IED attack

SHANGLA: The top police officer of Shangla survived a bomb attack on his convoy in Shekolai near Malam Jabba on Saturday. Shangla District Police Officer (DPO) Shah Hassan was going to visit a checkpoint that was attacked by terrorists earlier in the day when an improvised explosive device (IED) detonated near his convoy. DPO Hassan told Dawn that a security vehicle escorting him was damaged in the attack. However, no casualties were reported.
