HDE 228766, a massive binary system with a period of 10.7426 d, is of special interest because it is very likely that it has undergone episodes of mass transfer and that its secondary component is now in transition towards the Wolf–Rayet (WR) phase. Hiltner (1951) classified the secondary star of this system as WN, attributed to this component the emission features present in the observed spectra, and surmised that the absorption profiles are due to a B or late O primary.

Quasars have been a valuable cosmological tool since the realization by Schmidt (1963) that they were outside the local Universe, and therefore had the potential to probe early into cosmic history. In the intervening decades, quasars have become a standard tool for cosmology at redshifts above . At these redshifts, the space density of luminous quasars is much higher than in the local Universe (e.g. Hopkins, Richards & Hernquist 2007).

OverviewThis work aimed to evaluate the acute effect of a black bean protein hydrolysate (BPH) on glucose levels in adults with normal glucose tolerance (NGT) and prediabetes. Twenty peptides were identified in BPH, and a followed in silico predictive digestion showed a release of several short-chain peptides with potential hypoglycemic potential. A double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized clinical trial was conducted on 28 adults with NGT or prediabetes.
