Richmond Fire Reacue are battling a big fire at a storage unit on Tuesday evening. Multiple firetrucks and at least a dozen firefighters are on scene at the Self Storage Depot on Cambie Road, between Sexsmith and Brown roads, on April 15. According to witnesses, smoke was spotted coming from the storage depot around 4:30 p.m. Traffic on Cambie Road has been blocked off. The Richmond News has reached out to Richmond Fire-Rescue for more information.

A long-time preschool program has closed after serving Richmond's South Arm community for more than three decades. South Arm Community Association runs two streams of licensed preschool programs under Child's World Preschool and Preschool Parade. However, the association announced earlier this month that it will no longer offer its Preschool Parade program, which has been offering programs for more than 30 years.
