What are the costs and effects of tubal patency testing by hysterosalpingo-foam sonography (HyFoSy) compared to hysterosalpingography (HSG) in infertile women during the fertility work-up? During the fertility work-up, clinical management based on the test results of HyFoSy leads to slightly lower, though not statistically significant, live birth rates, at lower costs, compared to management based on HSG results.

While it is well established that sexual selection can shape sex-biased phenotypes, there is growing interest in the impacts of sexual selection on the genomic architecture (Kirkpatrick, 2017; Mank, 2017; Wilkinson et al., 2015). As genomic information becomes more readily available, the genome-wide effects of sexual selection may become detectable without a priori knowledge of the strength of sexual selection or phenotypic characteristics.
