The retrial for a prominent Atlanta attorney accused of murdering his wife in an “accidental shooting” is scheduled to begin this week. Jury selection for the case against Claud “Tex” McIver, 81, began Monday, with opening statements expected by midweek. McIver was originally found guilty of the September 2016 killing of his wife, Diane McIver, 64 — but the 2018 conviction was overturned in 2022 after Georgia’s highest court ruled he did not receive a fair trial.

A New Hampshire man faces up to life in prison after killing another man outside a popular Manchester bar. John DeLee, 22, is facing two counts of second-degree murder and one count of reckless conduct for the death of Timothy Pouliot, 24. In the early morning hours of Jan. 28, 2023, DeLee and Pouliot got into a verbal altercation inside The Goat Bar and Grill. According to court documents, on the night of the alleged crime, DeLee and Pouliot were at the bar with their own friend groups.

A New Hampshire man accused of killing another man outside of a popular Manchester bar faces up to life in prison when he heads to trial this week. Opening statements are expected to begin Tuesday in the trial against John DeLee, 22, for the death of Timothy Pouliot, 24. An Iowa man accused of strangling his ex-lover to death and leaving her in a ditch off the side of a rural road heads to trial next week. Jury selection is scheduled to begin Monday, Nov. 13 in the case against Ivan Samuel “Sam” Brammer, 62, for the murder of his former girlfriend Ilene Gowan, 60. Brammer was charged with abuse of a corpse and second-degree theft in May, but after further investigation, was arrested for second-degree murder in August.
