    QUINCY (WGEM) - Saturday featured two local teams trying to keep their postseasons alive in their respective sports. A ticket to state was on the line as Quincy Notre Dame girls soccer took on Columbia. The Lady Raiders put up a fight on the pitch, but the Eagles dominate offensive performance controlled the game. In the end, QND fell 6-1 to wrap up their season. “Just very proud of the seniors and the team,” said QND girl’s head soccer coach Mark Thomas.

    QUINCY (WGEM) - Former Hannibal High School football star, Aneyas Williams, was back in Hannibal tonight for a special event that raised money for the community. The Notre Dame running back partnered with “Random Acts of Kindness,” an organization that raises money to give back to those in the community. Several fans attended Finn’s Food and Spirits where they could take pictures with Williams or get his autograph. All proceeds from tonight’s event are going towards the organization.

The Mustang athlete is still soaking it all in and is grateful for all the support she has received throughout the season. “State was really fun this year.     QUINCY (WGEM) -With the sectional title now under their belt, the Lady Raiders are gearing up for the elite eight. “Our goal, we want to win seven games, right, so we won four, got a regional title, got a sectional title, so now we’re onto the super sectional and we’ll try to do what we can do against them, but it will be another really hard game,” said QND Girl’s Head Soccer Coach Mark Thomas. This has been a special playoff run for QND.
