QUINCY (WGEM) -This is the time of year where the weather is sunny, and teams are locking in for the post season. The Lady Raiders held their QND Softball Cluster right before regional play begins. Pittsfield and West Hancock battled in a run heavy game, but Pittsfield would come out on top with the 13-11 victory. Quincy Notre Dame played another shutout game taking down Pleasant Hill 8-0.

QUINCY (WGEM) - The post season has begun for Missouri track and field as Palmyra hosted the Clarance Cannon Conference track meet. Overall, South Shelby girls will place first with a score of 176.50. For boys, Centralia placed first for 219 points, Palmyra second with 113, and South Shelby third with 92. The Class 2 District 3 tournament will begin this Saturday, May 10, at Glasgow high school. Quincy Notre Dame continued to dominate on the baseball diamond.

(WGEM) -There are names in the Tri-States we’ve heard plenty of times on the basketball court, and Lauren Miller is definitely one of them. ”A special player like Lauren, comes along only once in a generation,” said former Central Southeastern Head Coach Matt Long. Lauren Miller is one of only two players in school history that scored two thousand career points.

QUINCY (WGEM) -The Lady Raiders hosted Alton Marquette in a double header for the first time in years. ” It’s been a couple of years since we’ve played them, but obviously a good softball program, a lot of history,” said QND Head Softball Coach Eric Orne. QND played dominate softball from start to finish. They took down Marquette 17-2 in game one and 15-4 in game two.

QUINCY (WGEM) -Baseball games prevailed regardless of the rainy forecast. The Raiders were looking to keep their win streak alive as they welcomed Camp Point to the baseball diamond. Abram Wiewel’s two run homer set the tone for the Raiders and that carried them to a 13-6 victory over the Panthers. QND is now on a five-game win streak and advance to 15-6 on the season. Over the bridge in Hannibal the Pirates took on Palmyra in another rainy match up.
