    QUINCY (WGEM) -It’s been busy over at Pepsi Arena as the Quincy University Women’s Basketball team held their annual Junior Hawks Camp. “Really fun! It’s always really energetic in here, it’s a good space to be around, you learn a lot of new things, the coaches are great, everybody is fantastic, it’s really just so much fun and you learn so much,” said 8th grade camper Marlee Kassing. Over 100 kids signed up for this year’s camp.

    QUINCY (WGEM) -Most fathers love being on the golf course, and several Tri-State dads made their way to one local golf course for a special tournament. “It’s one of his highlights of his year. He’s been looking forward to it for a while and preparing and he’s pretty excited that the week is now upon us,” said Parent/Child Golfer Aaron Hill. Every year the Pepsi Little People’s Tournament kicks the week off with a Parent/Child Tournament for Father’s Day.

    SHELBINA, Mo. (WGEM) - The summer basketball season continues across the Tri-States with the Lady Birds hosting their annual summer shootout. Throughout the week several local school’s will be competing in Shelbina as they prep for the upcoming basketball season.     QUINCY (WGEM) -When the sun starts to come out, so do golfers to their local clubs. With summer in full swing, local businesses, like R&R Golf, are seeing a rise in sales. “This is our busy season here at R&R. It’s a ton of fun because everybody is getting back into the game. Obviously, there’s players that stayed really involved all winter, but some people are just getting back on the course and it’s exciting to see everybody coming back out and playing,” said R&R Golf Owner Andrew Smith.
