LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - Former Henderson Police Chief has announced her run for Henderson’s next mayor on Thursday. It is the same city she was fired from back in March, after she was put on a three week administrative leave in February. In a sit down interview with FOX5 Thursday, she said the city did not communicate with her about the firing. “I learned of it from the news,” Chadwick said.

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - A Las Vegas bartender is in jail after police say he put a camera in the women’s bathroom of a tavern. Records show it happened at John Cutter Tavern in the west valley. On April 17, an arrest report for Christopher Cohen said an 18-year-old girl had found the camera in the women’s bathroom. Police say she saw a black USB plugged under the sink. “She noticed the USB drive was shiny and removed it, and saw it had a sim card in the back of the USB,” the report said.

Court records show charges against her have been dropped which is why FOX5 has chosen to not name her. However, we have learned she is the girlfriend of the little boy’s dad.

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - Witnesses spoke with FOX5 Friday about the moment a gunman opened fire inside a northwest valley gym, injuring multiple people and killing one. Police and firefighters arrived at the Las Vegas Athletic Club’s northwest location on Rainbow and Vegas around 1:34 p.m. Upon arrival, officers identified the armed suspect, who attempted to flee, and shot him. The suspect was taken to UMC, along with three other victims, where he later died, police said during a press briefing.

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - As UNLV works on recruiting more staff for University Police, they are parting ways with an armed security company that has been on campus after the Dec. 6th shooting. According to a memo sent Thursday by Interim President Chris Heavy and Chief of UPD Arnold Vasquez, the university will officially part ways with Security Concept Group on June 30.
