Surrey Police have announced that they have closed a road following a serious crash on Wednesday (April 23) morning. Limpsfield Road, near Caterham is currently shut in both directions between Ledgers Road Junction and Beech Farm Junction after a single-vehicle collision at around 11.30am. It is not clear when the road will re-open. Officers have asked motorists to avoid the area if they can, and thanked locals for their co-operation.

One area of Kent has been named as having one of the slowest housing markets in England and Wales. With properties staying on the market for 20 days longer than average, homes could be moving slowly for a number of reasons. On average it took 56 days for a home in Canterbury to sell during the first few months of 2025. According to one of the UK’s leading property websites, Zoopla, this is the longest waiting time of any area in the South East and the seventh longest in the country.
