FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A new chapter in women’s sports is starting right here in the Central Valley. MADERA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Visually impaired since birth, Gia Ward has never let limited sight define her vision for life. She’s a standout student, musician, and role model, showing that challenges don’t have to be obstacles. “I think what’s motivated me is probably just like chasing my passions for music, and even though I’m blind, I could still do anything, you know,” said Ward. Her passion for music motivated her to become a percussionist in the school’s marching band.
