A true Philadelphia sports legend decided to hang it up yesterday, after one of the best careers we have seen in this city’s history — #62 Jason Kelce. Jason Kelce is one of the most decorated players in Philadelphia Eagles history with a career that includes six first-team All-Pros, seven Pro Bowl appearances, the most consecutive games played in franchise history with 156, and, most importantly, a Super Bowl LII title. Needless to say, any accolade you can think of, Jason Kelce probably has it.

The Jason Kelce era is over. The future Hall of Famer retired yesterday with an emotional 40-minute speech. So now, the Cam Jurgens era begins. Kelce hand-picked him as his eventual replacement two drafts ago. He sat his entire rookie season but played RG last season. The question becomes, is he ready, and capable, of replacing Jason Kelce? Let’s first point out, we should not expect him to be as great as Kelce. Kelce is one of the best centers of all time.
