MILANO, Texas (KBTX) - The Bremond Tigers picked up a 48-13 win Friday over Milano at Pruitt Stadium. The Bremond Tigers built a 8-6 lead in the first quarter. The Eagles started strong recovering a fumble and scoring a touchdown. The Tigers retaliated by blocking the kick, recovering the ball and making it to the endzone. The Eagles closed the gap in the second quarter, but the Tigers stay out of reach with the score 22-13. Bremond leads the second half with a final score of 48-13.

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - The Brazos County Commissioners Court has renamed the Sheriff’s Office Administration Building in honor of retired Sheriff Christopher Kirk. The name “Christopher C. Kirk, Sheriff’s Administration Building” is now what greets staff and visitors on the entrance sign of the department. “My heart for service has always been there and the idea that for 40 years I have served this community. That is what I am proud of and that’s the legacy I leave behind,” said Kirk.

CALVERT, Texas (KBTX) - Calvert gets its second win of the season as they faced off against King’s Academy. In the first quarter, the Trojans recover a fumble and score the first touchdown of the game with J’Carius Schells making the pass to Kevondre Corona before the defense can reach him. Calvert takes the lead 6-0. By the second quarter Calvert has opened up a big lead, Schells makes a Hail Mary pass to J’Courie Porch who falls into the endzone making it 35-12 for Calvert.

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - St. Joseph’s Catholic Church kicked off the Feast of St. Francis with animals receiving blessings Wednesday morning. Fr. Brian Eilers began the ceremony with an opening prayer, followed by a blessing of pets with holy water. “Animals in some way can show us something of who God is and his love for us and point us to Heaven,” Eilers said.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - Greens Prairie Elementary School hosted a space-themed enrichment day to educate students and prepare them for the upcoming solar eclipse. The day featured laser shows, virtual reality headsets and guest speakers from the Texas A&M College of Engineering and TAMU SPARK. Students experienced various presentations from internet providers, engineering professors and KBTX’s own meteorologist, Berkeley Taylor.
