As the global population expands, food production is under enormous pressure [1]. Insect pests cause serious damage to crop products by feeding on them and indirectly by transmitting plant viruses, leading to major economic losses [2]. In modern agriculture, agrochemicals play a major role in pest and disease control and in ensuring crop yields [3]. However, traditional pesticides are used inefficiently due to shortcomings such as difficult dispersion and poor adhesion.
