WEST CHESTER - A man was detained and searched by West Chester police prior to Saturday's No Kings Rally in the borough, according to a video and the comments attached to it. It appears in a citizen video that police removed a handgun and several magazines, possibly containing ammunition, from a man at High and Gay streets just prior to the rally.

WEST GOSHEN – That Marple Newtown and Bishop Shanahan met in the District 1 2A boys' lacrosse final came as no surprise to either side. In fact, the top two seeds have been eying each other for most of the regular season. And the showdown Wednesday evening, played at rain-soaked West Chester East's Zimmerman Stadium, certainly lived up to the hype. In all, there were five ties, and the outcome wasn't decided until the final seconds of regulation when the Tigers eked out an 11-10 victory.

WEST GOSHEN - The West Chester baseball squad split its final doubleheader of the regular season Friday, topping PSAC rival Mansfield 6-3 in the opener before falling 3-1 in the nightcap. Ranked 22nd nationally, the Golden Rams won the four-game series with the Mountaineers and will take a 35-14 overall record into the postseason. It was Senior Day at Serpico Field, but WCU (17-11 in the PSAC) had already locked up third place in the Eastern Division standings.
