AbstractLimited prognostic factors have been associated with overall survival (OS) post-relapse in childhood Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Patients enrolled on 12 Children’s Oncology Group frontline ALL trials (1996–2014) were analyzed to assess for additional prognostic factors associated with OS post-relapse. Among 16,115 patients, 2053 (12.7%) relapsed. Relapse rates were similar for B-ALL (12.5%) and T-ALL (11.2%) while higher for infants (34.2%).

The Grant County Commissioners voted unanimously Tuesday morning to add four additional projects to the list of projects to be paid for using American Rescue Plan Act funds the county has available. Thursday marked the formal groundbreaking for Jonesboro’s new approximately $7 million water filter treatment plant. The new plant is expected to replace the old plant in the 1300 block of Muncie Pike, which has been in use by the community for 65 years.

The Grant County Council continued their public budget hearings Wednesday night with a significant portion of the meeting being spent discussing staffing issues at the county prosecutor's and public defender's office. The Grant County Council listened to a series of budget presentations last Wednesday and Thursday and approved, with little fanfare, non-employee related budget items for a number of county offices. The council will resume public budget meetings this week on Wednesday and Thursday.

The Marion Common Council pumped the brakes a bit on their ordinance pertaining to providing $300,000 to the Center Township Trustee for the Estates of Serenity cemetery at the council’s meeting Tuesday evening as they wanted to redraft the ordinance with additional amendments and start the process over with a newly drafted ordinance.

The Mississinewa Community School Corporation Board of Trustees held the first of two public hearings required by Indiana law to discuss and hear objections and support regarding the proposed renovation of and improvements to school facilities to be paid for by a $2,050,000 general obligation bond. Mississinewa Schools Superintendent Jeremy Fewell told the board that the proposed bond is anticipated to be $2,050,000, of which $1,875,000 would be available for the project.

The Grant County Board of Commissioners discussed the possible use of American Rescue Plan Act funds for the restoration and renovation of the Estates of Serenity cemetery. Center Township Trustee Deborah Cain was on hand to discuss the matter with the commissioners in the hopes of obtaining ARPA funds from the county.
