MIAMI - Oh, you think the Memphis Grizzles' last few months, punctuated by a bizarrely timed coach firing, were bad? Wells was going up for a breakaway dunk with 1:10 left in the quarter when Hornets guard KJ Simpson ran into his legs while he was in the air, causing Wells to fall awkwardly. He lay motionless on the ground for several minutes, surrounded by medical staffers.

Grizzlies suffer back-to-back brutal losses on consecutive nights. Tonight, they fell to the Nuggets, 117-109. The Grizzlies went nearly 7 minutes without a field goal to end the game. Denver outscored them 16-3 over the final 6:50 of the 4th quarter. This loss drops Memphis

The Pelicans just lost to the Miami Heat, 153-104. This goes down as the most lopsided regular-season loss in Pelicans history. They tied the previous record earlier this season when they lost by 46 to Detroit on March 17. Miami's 153 points is also the most the Pelicans have
