INTRODUCTION Experimental studies that have varied species richness (S) often find positive relationships between richness and ecosystem processes such as net primary productivity (NPP). These results raise concern that human caused reductions in biodiversity will reduce ecosystem's capacity to produce energy for higher trophic levels (e.g. forage for grazing mammals; Weisser et al., 2017).

Graphical Abstract Emodin-based nanoparticles (E/H NPs) are fabricated by the co-assembly of Emo and HSA. E/H NPs possess a super-large two-photon absorption cross-section (TPAC) and ideal singlet oxygen (1O2) generation capability. They can be easily internalized by tumors and exhibit outstanding anti-cancer efficacy at ultra-low dosages. Abstract Two-photon-excited photodynamic therapy (TPE-PDT) has significant advantages over conventional photodynamic therapy (PDT).
