1 Introduction Proteins play significant roles in the biological activities of living organisms, including transporting substances, participating in immunity, and regulating hormones. As the function of proteins is largely determined by the structure, making clear 3D structures would give important insights into understanding biological mechanisms in cellular processes and facilitate interventions (e.g., drug development) through protein function modulation.
