Communities in Westmoreland County were hit hard by flooding Friday night. Swift water rescue teams were even deployed in multiple areas. "A lot of flooding. A lot of flooding. It came on quick, and it’s going to take a little time to rescind," said Sgt. Joseph Lewis with the Penn Township Police Department. "We’ve been seeing a lot of flooding displace individuals," said Katie Broome, the emergency management deputy for Penn Township.

The meeting looked to address comments and concerns from residents regarding the status of the project and its effect on nearby residents, and they were informed that it’s finally moving forward after many setbacks.
