One of the more uncomfortable situations the Chicago Bears are dealing with is Jaquan Brisker. They have already extended Kyler Gordon, a big victory for their 2022 draft class. Brisker is a different issue. He’s been excellent for them when on the field. Unfortunately, multiple injuries have sapped his playing time every year. Last season was his worst, missing all but five games with a concussion. Brisker has one year left on his rookie contract. The Bears can’t justify extending him at this point.

Caleb Williams doesn’t seem to be liked by many people for whatever reason. Some think he’s too soft because he paints his nails and cries after losses. The Chicago Bears drafted Caleb Williams because they believe he has the capacity to be a franchise quarterback. Williams made his career goals clear from the outset. What isn’t clear with Williams is how long he actually plans to play in the NFL. Money is already not a motivating factor for him.

Eli Morgan has had a weird opening month to his Cubs career. Now, after a couple painful appearances by the righty, Morgan is headed to the injured list. The 28-year-old reliever allowed back-to-back home runs against the Padres Monday night, and after giving up a third straight hit in the eighth inning to Manny Machado, Morgan was taken out of the game.
