KARACHI, March 10 (Reuters) - Pakistan's central bank held its key policy rate at 12% on Monday, it said in a statement, a widely unexpected move which halted an easing cycle that witnessed six straight reductions since June. The central bank has slashed rates by 1000 bps from an all time high of 22% in June 2024, to revive economic sentiment and growth, while navigating reforms under a $7 billion facility from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in September.

COLOMBO, Jan 28 (Reuters) - The Sri Lankan government has started talks with India's Adani Group to lower the cost of power from two wind power projects the group will build in the island nation's northern province, the cabinet spokesman said on Tuesday.
